Equitable Arts Events with the Sunny Dayz Team
OVAC is partnering with the team behind Sunny Dayz Mural Festival to bring you a workshop on how to plan equitable arts events in your community.
At the end of the workshop, participants will know how to:
• Identify needs in your art community
• Clarify how you can define your strengths and help meet those needs
• Pitch your idea to the right partners
• Look for ways to make events accessible for everyone involved
• Practice developing an event through small group work
Workshop presenters:
Shree Lasya, Sunny Dayz Team Member and Manager, Elemental Coffee; Tobi Coleman, Sunny Dayz Team Member and Co-Owner of Revolve Productions; Natalie Kent, Sunny Dayz Team Member and Creative Director of Nominee; Audrey Kominski, Sunny Dayz Team Member and Programs & Events Manager at OVAC
