Elizabeth Henley
Elizabeth Henley is an artist born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She attended Oklahoma State University very briefly for interior design and has been creating art continuously for the past 15 years. It was only within the last few years that she began to display her work publically. The decision to pursue art more passionately came after she had a health scare, which led to a life awakening. The events of the health scare put her life’s priorities into perspective, and she was able to decipher what was truly important - finding her true calling to create through self-expression and allowing others the space to create freely as well. She re-prioritized her pursuits and decided to make creating art, not just a passion, but a lifestyle - exploring mediums that fulfill her creative vision.
Elizabeth is also the Founder of Black Moon, a Black Artist Collective, in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2018. Her dream is to establish a space for artists to focus on their talent by providing ways for them to become self-sustaining and successful artists. The space will also show their work and be a location for several community events and programming. Her passion is to elevate Black Moon as an organization to bring unity, awareness, equity, inclusivity, and hope to the neglected parts of her community by making art accessible and viewable to all.
