Savannah Whitehead (she/her)

Savannah Whitehead was born and raised in Abilene, TX. In 2021, she ventured to Stillwater, OK to attend Oklahoma State University (GO POKES!), where she graduated with a BA in Art History and a Minor in Philosophy in 2016.

After leaving OSU, Savannah joined the Edmond Chamber of Commerce staff as the Event Coordinator. Over the next 4 years, her love for the Edmond community and its members grew. She remained at ECC until her "dream job" at her favorite organization came calling in early 2020.

Since joining Edmond Fine Arts Institute in 2020 as the Program Director, Savannah has gotten to be a part of amazing projects and community initiatives. Her favorite and most significant endeavor is VIBES Edmond's First Thursday. VIBES combines all of her great passions: furthering the arts, highlighting the fantastic Edmond community, and inspiring creativity for all ages and all people.

Savannah considers herself lucky to have been raised by a family that continually exposed her to the arts and encouraged her in her own creativity and artistic pursuits. She has always found ways to intertwine creating into her life, and a year ago started her own small business, "Sav's Arts and Cheers," officially legitimizing the works she had been creating for friends and family for years. While she struggles with calling herself an artist, due to the amazing art professionals she works with every day, being selected to participate in Sunny Dayz gives her the courage to take that leap!
