Kendall Ross and Emily Madden together are team THE GIRLIES! Both are fiber artists that are conquering their first-ever fiber mural at Sunny Dayz 2022!
Kendall Ross, owner of Id Knit That, is a fiber artist from Oklahoma City. She hand-knits wearable art pieces using bold colors and original texts. Her work celebrates traditionally feminine crafts and femininity.
Emily Madden is an upholsteress and fiber artist from OKC. She started learning upholstery in 2014 at a local vocational school where she completely fell in love with the trade. In 2018 she went full time with her business Thready Or Knot. She is driven by the attention to detail and the precise process of recovering furniture. Nothing gets Emily more excited than taking apart an old piece of furniture to find horse hair or hay inside and then recovering it into something magical and new. Her work can be easily recognized by its bright colors, bold patterns, and the use of velvets.
When Emily isn't doing upholstery you can find her running around town, drinking beers with friends, laughing, hanging out with her pup Baby, or trying something new!
As a team, Kendall and Emily will be bringing you a fiber mural that is colorful, fun, and thought-provoking.
